biography

Liam Chapman is a passionate and creative professional drummer and percussionist with an excellent work ethic, based in Glasgow, Scotland. He is also a songwriter and flexible music workshop facilitator.

He currently plays as a member of 'Mercury' Award nominated dream-pop/choral composer  C Duncan, 'SAY' Award nominated ambient artist Andrew Wasylyk, folk-noir balladeer Rachel Sermanni and releases his own new original dark yacht material under the name Whim with vocals & keys. He is proficient with a number of musical instruments, skilled in music composition and is experienced in both live and studio performance as well as community teaching and sharing creativity.

Notable performances have included supporting Elbow on their sold out UK arena tour with C Duncan, live radio sessions on Lauren Laverne’s BBC Radio 6 Music show and Roddy Hart’s BBC Radio Scotland Quay Sessions, Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris, Glastonbury Festival, Hollywood (Disney, Warner Bros studios) and supporting Neutral Milk Hotel at a sold out Barrowlands with The Vaselines; among vast touring across Europe and the UK.
